California born sculpture, Paula Yates, has explored the many facets of her natural creative ability since her early childhood, always dreaming of becoming an artist. For many years, however, she followed a career in banking. Then, in 1991, she chose to enter the business of fine art framing. Exposure, during this time, to many nationally recognized artists and fine art galleries rekindled her latent inspiration to create. This first led her back to drawing and painting with renewed enthusiasm. Her passionate desire to study and experiment with various mediums then prompted Paula to attend her first sculpture class. An instantaneous love of the art became a creative turning point in her life. Her initial intention was simply to pursue it as a hobby but what, at first, was only a joyful pastime has now become a career that she dearly loves. Paula is grateful and delighted that her works can now be found in private, public and corporate collections across the United States, Canada and Europe. The dream of a young girl, to some day become an artist, has now been realized. Indeed, dreams do come true.

Paula attended the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona and the Loveland Academy of Fine Art in Colorado. There she studied under prominent artists such as Rosalind Cook, Lincoln Fox, Betty Pat Gatliff, Richard Greeves, Tuck Langland, Jo Saylor and Sandy Scott. Immersing herself in every possible artistic influence, she has since participated in many fine art shows throughout Arizona, New Mexico, Nevada, Colorado and California. They include, among others:
