Russ received his Associate of Arts Degree from Mesa Community College, his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Fine Arts / Education from Ottawa University where he graduate with distinction, and his Masters in Education Degree from Arizona State University. He also serves as Department Chair for the Fine Arts Department for the Tempe Union High School District in Tempe, Arizona.
