Artists often take a circuitous route to their craft. In the case of Colorado native James LaCasse, the world of sculpture revealed itself as an alternative to his degree in Economics from Milwaukee's Marquette University.
Since the early 1990s, James LaCasse has established himself among collectors and art aficionados as a major force in the field of sculpture. By combining fluid forms, negative space, an intense realism, and relying on the viewer's ability to "fill the blanks," James LaCasse creates a surreal effect of motion - and emotion - in all his limited-edition pieces.
